Why Not You Foundation Awards $100,000 in Scholarships to Help Students Achieve their Post-Secondary Educational Dreams

Why Not You Foundation and College Success Foundation Announce Inaugural Why Not You Scholarship Recipients

Eight graduating high school students with big dreams have been named as the inaugural Why Not You Scholars – receiving a collective $100,000 in scholarships to help them achieve their post-secondary educational dreams. 

The eight scholarship recipients include Najma Abdirizak, Aye Aye Aung, Djamila Oumarou and Monserrat Palacios-Aguirre (all from Kent-Meridian High School), Ribka Abebe (Tyee High School), Bryan Ahaneku Chucha (Auburn Mountainview High School) and Katie Liu (Lindbergh High School).

The Why Not You Scholarship Program was established in partnership with College Success Foundation as part of the DREAM BIG: Anything is Possible teen empowerment campaign presented by the Why Not You Foundation, JPMorgan Chase and King County Library System.
