Meet The Six Families From Oxford, NJ Who Champion The Why Not You Foundation

As we get settled into the new year, it opens up a perfect opportunity to launch the third edition of Faces of Why Not You! This month, we aren’t just highlighting one individual who has made a meaningful donation- but six families whose unique holiday tradition lead them to become champions of the Why Not You Foundation.

Please meet the Schramm family (pictured), Michniewicz family, Vierschilling family, Jahns family, Sperduto family, and Farley family from Oxford, a small town in northwest New Jersey. For the past 15 years, these families mesh into one and have consistently chosen to forgo Christmas gifts for one another, instead choosing to pool in any amount of money they can spare to donate to a charity. 

There’s a twist! Their tradition begins with everyone arriving at their Christmas gathering with a charity in mind that is dear to their heart. Post-dinner, everyone gathers to play a game where the winner is granted the power to select which charity will receive the pooled money. This year the Why Not You Foundation was chosen as the beneficiary!
