Meet Harry Wilson

For our fourth edition of Faces of Why Not You, you may recognize him as the Co-founder & President of Limitless Minds or even as Russell Wilson’s older brother, but we know him as one of our fantastic Board Members. Meet Harry Wilson! He has been an active member of the Why Not You Foundation’s Board for the last four years. 

As many of you know, the Wilsons' father used to ask his kids growing up, ‘Why Not You?’ which ultimately led Russell to name the foundation the Why Not You Foundation. When we asked Harry what having the Why Not You attitude means to him, he responded that it simply means to have no limits. “Many of us allow our surroundings or our ecosystem to define who we are and what we are capable of; when in fact, our ‘ceilings’ are much higher than we can imagine. A Why Not You attitude is one that takes educated and imaginative risks. A Why Not You attitude is dreaming big!”. This mindset is mirrored in Harry’s hope and vision for the Foundation’s future. Harry shared that he would like to see the Foundation be known as one of the largest foundations of its kind in terms of lives impacted.  

Being Russ’ older brother, we asked Harry what it's like working with his younger brother, on the Why Not You Foundation board. He answered: “This is great! I told Russ the year before I joined the team, that I wanted to collaborate with him on something that would allow me to show my 3 daughters ‘what good looks like’ and how to properly use a platform for good. Well, so far, mission accomplished! It’s fun to work with both Russ and Ciara on something which they are so incredibly passionate about. Russ has always been a big dreamer and big thinker with great ideas; and it’s an honor to be a part of a team that can help bring those to life, with the goal of impacting millions of people”.

“Ultimately, I feel blessed to be a part of the Why Not You Foundation. I think our father would be proud to see the work Russ, Ci, and the team are doing to impact the world. For me, I really want to leave my own little footprint on this earth and I think that this is the beginning of one of these imprints in the sand”.

From helping others succeed through Limitless Minds to leading the Why Not You Foundation’s mission in impacting the lives of our nation’s youth, it is clear that Harry is making his mark in the world.
