Why Not You Foundation, alongside founders Russell Wilson and Ciara, Release 'Let Russ Cook' Aprons to Fight Hunger this Holiday Season

On November 30, 2020, Why Not You Foundation announced, alongside founders Russell Wilson and Ciara, a partnership with Betz Family Winery, Safeway and Albertsons to help tackle the issue of hunger and support children and families in need due to COVID-19.

For the holiday season, the foundation launched an exclusive “Let Russ Cook” apron designed by local Seattle artist Enjoli Izidor alongside a recipe for Russell’s favorite homemade mac and cheese. All proceeds from the aprons directly benefit Why Not You Foundation’s commitment to United Way’s Ride United program to deliver food and necessary resources during the pandemic.

“We have always felt that the holidays should be centered around giving back to the community. We are proud to be partnering with Betz Family Winery and Safeway to help United Way’s Ride United create a meaningful impact for those most in need this holiday season. Why Not You Foundation strives to create initiatives that align with our core pillars, and we really wanted to give this our personal touch for families to enjoy.”

The aprons will be sold in all Safeway and Albertsons stores in Washington, and online through the Betz Family Winery, alongside their  2017 The Untold Story wine, a Washington red blend, which will also benefit the Ride United program to provide resources to food insecure families in Washington and beyond.

The wine will be available for $35, the apron for $15 and an additional package option to gift both products for $50. Let Russ Cook aprons and The Untold Story wine can be purchased in stores at select Safeway and Albertsons locations across Washington and online at www.betzfamilywinery.com/LetRussCook.
