My Cause My Cleats 2020 Auction

As seen in Sunday’s My Cause My Cleats game, Seahawks against the NY Giants, these one-of-a-kind cleats were made in collaboration between Russell Wilson and local Seattle artist, Takiyah Ward, that amplifies the call for racial justice by honoring those who have been killed by police brutality. The cleats feature beautiful, hand painted portraits of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Charleena Lyles, and Herbert Hightower.

The cleats are now up for bids in our online My Cause My Cleats auction and will close on December 18th at 11:59 PM PST. Proceeds from the sale of the cleats will go to King County Equity Now, a Seattle coalition of black-led organizations fighting for racial equity in all aspects of society, and will directly support the Hightower family. Herbert Hightower Jr., pictured on the cleats, was tragically killed by Seattle police in 2004 during a mental health crisis. The Hightower Family has yet to find justice.

Auction closes on December 18th at 11:59 PM PST
